I’ve already brought up in a previous post and on my about page how I plan to use the Philippians 4:8 rule in my reviews. However, that will not be all I’m basing my reviews off of. In this post I will show the layout of my reviews.
1: A brief overview
I will give a short, spoiler free summary of the plot to get you familiar with the story film I’m reviewing
2: Film Review
I’ll give a review of the movie for what it is, covering topics like story quality, acting quality, and film design quality. I will also point out things I find commendable from the film.
3: Content
I’ll cover topics like amount of swearing and which words are used, any romantic or sexual content, any overly violent content, any drugs or alcohol content, as well as any spiritual beliefs included in the film.
4: the Philippians 4:8 Rule
I will, as I’ve mentioned previously, I will compare the Philippians 4:8 rule against the film, asking;
“Is this movie true?”
“Is this movie noble?”
“Is this movie just?”
“Is this movie pure?”
“Is this movie lovely?”
“Is this movie admirable?”
“Is this movie excellent?”
and “Is this movie praiseworthy?”
5: Overall rating
Finally, I’ll compile my review into one final score out of five stars. I’ll also include a closing statement giving my overall opinion on the film.
I will be using this layout on both my video reviews and my post reviews.
